Children learnt about the Blitz during WW2 and its impact on people's lives, why German bombers targeted British cities and how civilians responded (blackouts, bomb shelters and evacuees).
I would like children to learn more about evacuees and how children leaving cities affected communities across the country. Please include drama and writing opportunities.

Pupil learnt about the events of the Great Fire of London. They labelled images of the Great Fire with expanded noun phrases.
In this lesson, the pupil will write a diary entry of the Great Fire incorporating expanded noun phrases generated in the previous lesson.
